Week 16

I was on vacation this week with my family in Cuba.  It has been many years since I have gone to an all-inclusive vacation where all I did was sleep, eat, go to the beach, and relax.  I have to admit that the first 4 days were difficult in that my mind was racing and thinking about many things.  I struggled because my purpose was to relax but I could not get my mind to slow down.  I wanted to put the Law of Relaxation into practice but the more it took me awhile. By 5th day, my mind started to relax and I got to think about lesson 15.

In the last few years, I had been thinking about my life and how disappointed I was with myself because I was not where I wanted to be.  Things I dreamed about doing, the kind of relationships I wanted to have and the person I wanted to become had not materialized.  I thought I would have arrived by the time I was 50 but I did not.  I know that this is my perfectionism talking and I will choose to believe that life is a journey and a process.  It says in Lesson 16, “…so as to be ready for the new cycle of sevens, beginning with the fiftieth year.”  the past several years had been a period reconstruction, adjustment, and recuperation and so I accept that.  It’s part of life and now I am ready for a new cycle of sevens.  I have been given the tools through MKE to renew my mind, to fix my thoughts on who I want to become and be like.  I create thoughts that I want and mix it thoroughly with vitality, clarity, boldness, courage, strength, determination and good feelings.  I am still learning and trying to understand all that is being taught in the MKE and I am trying, it’s not perfect but I am trying and persisting.  I am so grateful that I have this opportunity to continue to learn and grow into the person God created me to be.

Week 15

I am loving this week’s scroll.  Scroll IV says, “I am nature’s greatest miracle”, “I am a unique creature” and “I am not on this earth by chance.  I am here for a purpose and that purpose is to grow into a mountain, not to shrink to a grain of sand.”

When I was in my thirties I had hoped that by the time I turned 50, I would have learned to love myself well, be very comfortable in my own skin and be fully living in the purpose that God created me for.  I turned 50 this year and to be honest I have not completed that race.  I could choose to be discouraged and disappointed but I choose not to because I have accepted that my life is a journey.  I do love myself more, I am more comfortable in my skin and I am living more in the purposes that God created me for than I did in my thirties.  I believe that doing the Master Key will accelerate this journey.

I am a unique miracle and I am here with a purpose to bring heaven to earth.  Scroll number IV is cementing these truths into my subby and so every day for this month, I will enthusiastically read this scroll every day.

Week 14

I am continuing throughout the holidays to think about persistence and forgiveness and I believe that as I persist, I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy.

“I will be likened to the rain drop which washes away the mountain.”  Og Mandino

“… the law of growth necessarily governs every manifestation in the objective so that a denial of unsatisfactory conditions will not bring about instant change……..withdrawal of your thought from the contemplation of unsatisfactory conditions will gradually, but surely, terminate these conditions.”  Master Key Part 14

The Gal at the mirror – to love oneself

The Law of Forgiveness – to forgive everyone and anyone, including oneself to clear the channel to the divine.

As I forgive myself from all the regrets, failures and the should of and the would of stuff, I am learning to love the gal in the mirror.  I know that’s the best thing to do, to forgive myself and I will persist in doing so because I was created to be free.   It may be like a raindrop on a mountain and it may be like childish swipes on a huge oak tree and it may not be an instant process and be a gradual process but I will persist and I will succeed and be free.

I will learn to love myself for the greater good.  Can you imagine a community of people who genuinely love their authentic and unique self, how wonderfully and lavishly we would love each other?  That would truly be heaven on earth.

Week 13

This week resentment and bitterness tried to creep in again.  Holidays sometimes seem to do that.  It’s supposed to be a time of celebration, enjoying family and friends and good times but sometimes it is not.  I was tempted to slide down the path of unforgiveness but I was reminded of the bear that hugged the hot pot.  The image of the bear is stuck in my mind and I am grateful.  As soon as the image comes to my mind, I forgive because I want a really good connection to the Divine and I don’t want to be burned.  Anger and resentment whether it is justified or not can not exist if I want a good relationship with the One who loves me.  (Law of Forgiveness) Even though I have forgiven, resentment and bitterness try to come back but then I ask God, what He thinks about the ones who have hurt me and I think on those thoughts.  (The Law of Substitution) and this happens again and again and I practice having God’s thoughts about them. (Law of Practice).  I am not yet perfect but I am getting better at this.

Week 12

“Each blow, of itself, may be trifling and seem of no consequence.  Yet from childish swipes, the oak will eventually tumble. ”  (Og Mandino)

This week, I felt like I was swiping the big oak tree trunk with a toy ax – haphazardly.   I did the readings, talked to myself in the mirror and looked for the shapes but I was doing them like a child who after a temper tantrum was forced to do something they did not want to do.   The child part of me this week was stubborn and resistant and did not want to do anything.  I did not see any breakthroughs, no new insights, and no motivation but I persisted and did all the things I needed to do because the parent part of me was making me do it.   I read with “fake” enthusiasm and added body movements to please the parent part of me.

I will continue to listen to the parent part of me because the parent part of me is wise, she sees the bigger picture, has life experience and knows that she needs to practice and practice even when she doesn’t feel like it because persistent practice will get her to where she wants to go.

I will gently love and encourage the child part of me and remind her that even though the swipes on the oak tree seem insignificant, impossible, and never-ending, I will cheer her on to keep swiping because, I know with persistence, the tree will eventually tumble.

Week 11

This week has been more steady and peaceful.   I am accepting more that life is a journey and I do not need to be perfect at everything.  It’s not about “all or nothing.”  Can you tell I am a white?  Just like someone wise said, “it’s going to be ok, just take it easy.” I don’t have to understand everything or have everything expressed today.  I am on a journey.  Bit by bit, step by step the teachings and readings are seeping into my subconscious.

I am continuing on my journey of self-discovery and accepting who I am and being proud of who I am.  When I was young, my best friend dreamed of becoming a neurosurgeon and I was busy playing with dolls trying to create a nice home for my dolls.  Later in my life, I wondered why I didn’t have the lofty and big dreams that other’s seem to have and was ashamed of that.  I was more focused on home, having a warm and comfortable place people can come to and how to have a good relationship with family and friends.  My dreams weren’t to discover a cure for a disease or to change the world and I think I was embarrassed about how “small” my dream was until now.  I was on the call with Lucinda and Lori who were talking about “Finding Your Purpose” and I have discovered that I am a wise faithful shepherdess.  I like the sound of that and sits right with me.  I am a wise faithful shepherdess.  This is how God created me.  I get so much joy when I do life with few people guiding and helping them to find and live out their own unique identity and purpose in life.  This past week, during a business meeting I got to help a business partner identify who she is, not about who she is in business but who God created her to be.  Her eyes were filled with purpose, hope and an acceptance of herself.  As I remember that night, I can’t but smile and feel satisfied in my spirit.

Week 10

I am making progress and I didn’t even realize.  I was just going to keep going and do all the work faithfully until next March no matter what, having faith in MKE and God that even if I didn’t see it, something was happening inside of me.  I did the Self-Assessment Test and I improved from week 1.  Who would have thunk!!

This week, I realized something about myself.  I used to see myself as a “giver”.  In my youth, when I used to give I gave in abundance and with a heart that gave freely.  Over the many years, through many life circumstances and experiences with people, the “giver” in me became tired and disillusioned.  As I was reading Master Key #10, I realized that at times, I used “being responsible” as a way to give in lack and live in lack.  I know that there is wisdom in the act of giving but it was about the attitude of my heart.  The attitude of my heart was from lack.  This week’s reading starts with “Abundance is a natural law of the Universe.”  As I was driving this week, I saw the trees, leaves, grass and then I started to think about the bugs and the bacteria etc. and oh my gosh, there is absolute abundance.  God created everything in abundance and there is abundance for everyone.  Just because someone has more does not mean there is less for me whether it’s money, talent, gifts or whatever.  There is an abundance for me too.  As this thought settled in my heart, I became grateful and thankful to God and peace came.

Week 9

“Character is not a thing of chance but is the result of continued effort.  If you are timid, vacillating, self-conscious, or if you are over-anxious or harassed by the thought of fear of impending danger, remember that is axiomatic that “two things cannot exist in the same place at the same time.”

This quote totally describes my experience this week.  I was feeling anxious about my business, I wanted to quit and then I thought “I can do this, of course, I can do this” then back to “I can’t do this” and felt harassed by vague fear.  I was thinking of just accepting my situation and just live as I have lived in the past but this thought was not satisfying.  I want more.  Haanel says that we can’t leave character to chance but that it is developed by continued effort.  In the next phrase, Hannel says:

“….your remedy is plainly to substitute thoughts of courage, power, self-reliance, and confidence, for those of fear, lack, and limitation” (law of substitution)

So, I will continue to put effort into overcoming fear and anxiety by substituting my thoughts with:

“I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy.”

I continue to believe that I can achieve my PPN of Liberty and Legacy.  I know it’s not going to happen overnight but with small steps, day by day, focusing on my DMP and POA (doing my daily exercises, listening, imagining, visualizing, masterminding, and replacing negative and toxic thoughts with positive and nourishing thoughts).

Week 8

It’s only Wednesday, and I feel like it’s been a whole week.  The Seven Day Mental Diet definitely has been a challenge,  a good challenge.  I feel like every hour I had to restart the diet.   That is ok because I am becoming more aware of me.

I think about lots of things that are not so positive or encouraging and I tended to beat myself about it BUT no longer will I do that.  Thoughts come and go and they may not be my thoughts.  They only become my thoughts when I choose to entertain them and think about it over and over again.  I have the power and the choice to say yes or no to the thoughts that come my way.  I am the guardian to the door to my mind.  I am not going to take the wrap for every thought that comes my way only for the ones I choose to let in.  The only thoughts I will allow into my mind are the ones that bring me health, peace, prosperity, and abundant life….because I love myself.

Week 7

I really appreciated this week’s webinar on the Law of Forgiveness.

“To access the Divine and connect the subconscious to the Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent Creator we must forgive everyone and anyone to clear the channel.  There can be no connection to the Divine mind where anger or resentment against a brother or sister, justified or not, exists.”

It is true that resentment, hate, and unforgiveness rots our souls and our bodies.  I had struggled with Fibromyalgia for about 10 years.  It was when I had forgiven myself of self-hate and self-resentment that I was healed.  It’s been 7 years now being healthy and I celebrate!  When we talk about forgiveness we often think about forgiving others (which we need to do) and most of the time, we do not think about forgiving ourselves.  I have read that many of the root causes of the autoimmune diseases can be due to self-hate.  It makes sense to me because an autoimmune disease is about one’s own body attacking itself.  If you don’t like yourself, if you are critical of yourself and if you are not kind to yourself, you are attacking yourself.  Self-hate and unforgiveness can lead to mental, spiritual or physical disease.  It was a good reminder this week the importance of forgiving others but it is just as important to forgive yourself.  Unforgiveness does plug up divine energy whether it be divine ideas, being able to serve others in love or being physically healthy.  Forgiveness frees us to be healthy physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
